Hi, I'm Mikey. I was born on October 26th 1983. I've got serious obsessive compulsive issues when it comes to music, and that's what this page is about. Not much going to be here really, and as you can tell from the cheese at the top left, and the generic, "create your own adventure" layout, i'm not very good at the whole website thing. Oh well. The good news is, if you've come to learn about some of the music i make, and some of the music i like, you've found the right place. HOORAY!

I play guitar, piano, and occasionally sing. My real passion though is LISTENING. I consider that my greatest musical accomplishment, and i spend a lot of my time learning about different styles of music, and what makes them enjoyable. Never does my mind close to any particular style. Though i must say i'm not so happy about the way the whole 3 minute pop song thing is going these days. Quite frankly it scares the shit out of me. I don't know how they can make something so incredibly catchy and then have the same thing sound boring in 2 weeks. It's like the ultimate money making scheme.

From about 1999 to 2003, i was also a member of the Canadian team for the sport of Fresstyle Skiing. Aerials was my discipline... you know, the flippy twisty things people only ever watch during olympic time, and only for about 2 minutes. Anyway, that was a huge part of my life for those years and trained full time, usually about 6-8 hours a day, 5-6 days a week. We did get 2 weeks off at christmas though sometimes if we were lucky. What about summer, you ask? That's what water ramps are for. We jump into big pools. Quite fun, really, and a little less scary. It all ended though when in december 2001 i broke my back training a new trick for a world cup qualifying event. BUT HAY U SAIED U DID IT UNTIEL 2003 U LIER... well, even though i lost about 8 months of training, i decided to come back for one more season. I intended to keep going, but that season, although proving to be my best by far, was just too painful. I was training 60% of what everyone else was, and was in more pain at the end of the day... just didn't seem like a winning formula to continue on for another 6 or 7 years, So alas, i retired. Check the videos section if you wanna see me training. As of today, i'm in 3rd year uni studying for Dentistry or Optometry. One more year of science then i specialize.
